IRCTC Login 2020 – Download IRCTC App [Special Train List]

The Indian Railways has started special trains from 12 May with 12 pairs of trains (30 return journeys) to help the people stranded in other states reach their homes. These special trains during the lockdown period will run connecting New Delhi station to Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi. Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, and Jammu Tawi. The online IRCTC bookings for these special trains was done by 11th May 2020. Ony the passengers who have booked their tickets will be allowed to enter the railway stations.

Latest Update: Piyush Goyal said “Indian Railways has decided to restore their special passenger train operations and 200 special trains will start from 1st June 2020. The online booking for these trains has begun on 21st May at 10 AM”. You can check the list of these 200 special trains for helping people return home during the coronavirus lockdown.

Waiting List Updates: The booking for special trains has been started on 21st May 2020. For the time being, the Indian Railways has cancelled the regular train tickets till 31st June. We will update you about the latest news and announcements here.

The Indian Railways department has set strict rules which each and every passenger needs to follow. These guidelines are issues to ensure the utmost safety and prevention of coronavirus spread.

  1. Only the passengers with valid tickets will be allowed to enter the railway stations.
  2. It is compulsory for all the passengers to wear a face mask and undergo screening at departure.
  3. Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board to trains.
  4. The passengers must arrive at the station at least 90 minutes before the train schedule.
  5. All the passengers are advised to bring their own food, blankets, and sheets.
  6. The passengers need to install the Aarogya Setu app on mobile phones and need to show the status at the time of departure.

How to Book Train Tickets Online on IRCTC Website Login

  1. Visit the official IRCTC Login website on irctc.co.in
  2. Click on the Login button on the right sidebar.
  3. Enter your ID and Password and sign in.
  4. Enter your “Source Station”, “Destination Station”, and “Time of Travel”. Click on “Find Trains”.
  5. You will get all the list of trains along with their details and fare on the next page.
  6. Select your preferred train and fill the passenger’s name, age, and other required details.
